As the Audience Development and Digital Marketing Director at Modern Dog and Modern Cat magazines, I focus on circulation strategy and audience building for an independent print magazine. I have a passion for technology, writing, editing, and publishing of all forms. I also have experience in web administration, social media strategy, and design skills.
I focus on circulation strategy and digital brand management, with a particular bent towards online audience development. I turn digital fans into print subscribers, and build the brands of Modern Dog and Modern Cat through online channels between print editions. I have overseen the growth of Modern Cat’s Facebook page from a following of 10,000 users to over 900,000 fans in just over two years. I have also boosted print circulation of Modern Cat Magazine from 20,000 to 65,000 copies in that same time span.
I contribute editorial content to both magazines, and serve as social media director for Modern Cat. I am involved in administrating our website through the Drupal CMS, work with contracted web developers, and implement best SEO practices. I am in charge of ad traffic through the DFP ad server, and co-manage third party ad services. I oversee all in-house digital reporting, using a variety of analytics tools attached to various online platforms.
